Privacy Policy
1. About This Policy
Home State Inspections LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates homestateinspections.com, a residential home inspection website. HSInspects.com may redirect visitors to our primary website. This policy explains how we handle information submitted through our website and related technical information.
2. Information We Collect
When you contact us or request an inspection, you may provide your name, telephone number, email address, property address, property type, approximate size, requested services, scheduling preferences, and other details you choose to share. Our hosting and website services may also process IP addresses, device and browser details, server logs, and basic website activity.
3. How We Use Information
We use submitted information to answer inquiries, calculate preliminary inspection estimates, coordinate appointments, provide requested services, and handle related communications. We may also process technical information for website operation, security, and troubleshooting. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment card information, or other unnecessary sensitive details through general forms.
4. Forms, Pricing Calculator, and Email
Our custom inspection intake and pricing tools may store submitted details on our website host while a request is being processed. Website notifications and correspondence may be delivered through our WordPress email configuration and Google Workspace. Authorized business personnel use this information to respond to requests and provide services.
5. Retention and Deletion
We do not maintain website inquiries as a marketing database. We delete submitted information from active records when it is no longer needed for the request or related business purposes, subject to legal or recordkeeping obligations. Copies may persist for a limited period in email, hosting backups, or technical logs under provider retention practices.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell customer contact lists or inspection-request records. Information may be processed by providers needed to operate the website and communicate with customers, such as website hosting, WordPress software and plugins, and Google Workspace. We may disclose information if required by law. Use of future analytics or advertising services may involve additional disclosures described below.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Our website and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, or technical operations. We are considering Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement but do not represent that these are currently enabled. If implemented, they may collect device identifiers, website interactions, and conversion events; we will review this policy and applicable privacy choices before activation. We do not intend to send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or property addresses as ordinary analytics event parameters. Browser settings can restrict some cookies.
8. Browser Tracking Preferences
We have not established a separate mechanism for responding to traditional browser “Do Not Track” signals. We will assess any legally applicable opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, when configuring advertising or cross-site tracking. Third-party technologies, if enabled, may collect activity across websites according to their own practices.
9. Security
We aim to limit access to customer submissions to personnel who need the information for business purposes and use website hosting and email services to support secure operations. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. California Privacy
California residents may have rights under applicable privacy laws. The California Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses meeting specified criteria and certain related entities; it does not automatically apply to all small businesses. You may contact us about information you submitted and request correction or deletion. We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping obligations.
11. Children and External Links
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our website may link to external websites whose privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes
We may revise this policy as our practices or technologies change. The date below will be updated when changes are published.
